British official figures show over 1,000 abortions to girls under 15

May 27, 2010

More than 1,000 British girls under the age of 15 obtained an abortion last year, official statistics show. Another 21,000 abortions were procured by girls under 18.

The Department of Health figures show that roughly one-third of all the women who had abortions in 2009 had obtained another abortion in the past. More than 3,500 of the women who aborted their children in 2009 had undergone the procedure at least 3 times previously.

These are very very frightening and sad statistics. Let us pray for these young girls in this troublesome time of their lives, that the Holy Spirit may heal them and perhaps use them in in some way to help others facing this decision to take the life of God's children before their time.
