Pope meets with bishops who investigated Legionaries
CWN - April 30, 2010
Pope Benedict XVI met on April 30 with the five bishops who had conducted an apostolic visitation of the Legion of Christ. The Pope is expected to spend some time weighing the report from the apostolic visitation before deciding whether, and how, he should intervene to guide the future of the troubled religious order.
The five bishops involved in the visitation, who presented their report and recommendations today, are: Archbishop Charles Chaput of Denver; Archbishop Ricardo Ezzati Andrello of Concepcion, Chile; Archbishop Ricardo Blazquez Perez of Valladolid, Spain; Bishop Ricardo Watty Urquidi of Tepic, Mexico; and Bishop Giuseppe Versaldi of Alessandria, Italy.
