Settlement for priest’s 2004 assault of Florida woman

Six years after a Polish priest broke into the house of Florida woman and assaulted her, the Archdiocese of Newark and Diocese of Orlando have reached a settlement with the woman. Father Wladyslaw Gorak, a Polish priest who began to serve in Newark parishes in 1998, subsequently began to minister in Florida in 2004.
In 2007, Father Gorak pled guilty to burglary, assault, and aggravated stalking and was sentenced to four years of probation.
Terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
