Cardinal urges Kenyan lawmakers to amend constitution over pro-abortion language

Cardinal John Njue of Nairobi has again urged lawmakers who are drafting a new Kenyan constitution to amend a clause that declares that life begins at birth. Calling upon lawmakers to recognize that life begins at conception, the cardinal said on March 24 that “the Catholic Church strongly feels the fight against abortion is the fight for the family.”
