Planned Parenthood legal director teaches at Jesuit university’s law school
February 15, 2010
An adjunct professor at the Seattle University School of Law serves as the legal director of Planned Parenthood of Western Washington, according to the university’s web site. As Planned Parenthood’s legal director, Laura Einstein has sought to compel pharmacies to fill prescriptions for the morning-after pill, which can act as an abortifacient.
A May 2009 mailing from the Center for Professional Development of the Seattle University School of Law noted that “Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest is currently looking to hire a summer intern. Work will involve research, writing, litigation, strategic thinking, and transactional activities.”
In addition, the university’s Counseling & Psychological Services office offers links to Planned Parenthood and numerous gay activist organizations, and Planned Parenthood of Western Washington is listed among the university’s public affairs student internships.
Founded in 1891 by the Jesuits, Seattle University has 7,560 students, 4,206 of them undergraduates.

Seattle University has become a source of scandal and should be striped of it's Catholic affiliation. Once, when the President was asked about the the school's relationship with the Church, he said that SU was kind of "Catholic Lite". As a Grad,Class of 1960,I am ashamed of what this school has become and believe it has lead many into serious error. Rome needs to tell the Jesuits to clean up their act and remove the Eucharist from the Campus until they do. Col. R L. Quinn,US Army,(Ret).

I am truly sorry to say this, but maybe it is time for the Vatican to consider taking action on the horrible state of the Society of Jesus in the United States. While there are inquiries/visitations going on to investigate (for good reason) American Women Religious Orders and the Legionairies of Christ, I would posit that there is similar deplorable state at the "catholic universities" in the US, and in particular, at the Jesuit institutions. If the Jesuits can't control their own,Rome should!
