UN enlists voodoo priests to help Haitian reconstruction

CWN - February 10, 2010

UN relief organizers in Haiti are asking voodoo priests to help with their efforts to rebuild the country. A spokesman explains that "community leaders obviously have a role to play to help the humanitarian effort." The self-proclaimed head of the nation's 60,000 voodoo priests proclaims: "It is inconceivable that people will think about Haiti without thinking about voodoo." And it is inconceivable that UN aid will not flow to the voodoo cult.
