Pope's words spark debate in England
Catholic World News - February 08, 2010
Looking forward to Pope Benedict's September trip to Great Britain, Time magazine notes that the Holy Father's toughly worded statement against provisions of the "Equality Law" will ensure a lively debate on his arrival there. Time also observes that the Pope is scheduled first to visit Portugal, where the country's parliament recently approved recognition of same-sex marriages-- opening up the possibility of another open debate.
