Irish Christian leaders push for final agreement on Northern Ireland

The leaders of Ireland’s Christian churches have joined in a call for renewed effort to reach a final accord ending years of strife in Northern Ireland. The Catholic primate of All Ireland, Cardinal Sean Brady, joined with Anglican Archbishop Alan Harper, Presbyterian Moderator Stafford Carson, and Methodist President Donald Ker in an appeal to all parties to “redouble their efforts to reach a settlement.”
