Italian bishop admits many homilies are 'boring mush'

At Italian bishop has encouraged priests to devote more attention to their homilies, acknowledging that a great deal of preaching is “not too nourishing.” Bishop Mariano Crociata, the secretary-general of the Italian bishops’ conference, said plainly: “Too often, sermons are just boring mush: unappetizing fare.”
