Hindus attack Christmas fair in India

Invoking the names of Hindu deities, a group of militant Hindus attacked a Christmas fair in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh on December 20 and set fire to biblical representations. Archbishop Leo Cornelio of Bhopal called the attack “a matter of serious concern for Christians” and said that the state’s government rarely addresses attacks on Christians. Only 0.5% of the people who live within Bhopal’s archdiocesan boundaries are Catholic.
