Pope prays for AIDS patients

At the close of his regular Angelus audience on Sunday, November 29, Pope Benedict XVI observed that December 1 is World AIDS Day, and offered his prayers "to everyone suffering from this disease, especially to children, the poor and those who are rejected." The Holy Father encouraged care for AIDS patients and redoubled efforts to "halt and eradicate this disease."
