Pope names successor to Canadian bishop arrested for child pornography November 23, 2009

Pope Benedict has named Auxiliary Bishop Brian Joseph Dunn of Sault Ste. Marie as Bishop of Antigonish. The Nova Scotia diocese had been governed by Bishop Raymond Lahey, who resigned after child pornography had been founded on his laptop computer.

“I’m aware there is a difficult situation in the Diocese of Antigonish,” said Bishop Dunn. “People are feeling a lot of hurt and anger and have a lot of questions about trust. Dealing with this will be a priority.”
