4th murder of Brazilian priest since June

Father Hidalberto Henrique Guimaraes, 48, a priest of the northeastern Brazilian Archdiocese of Maceió, has become the fourth Brazilian priest to be murdered since June.
“The priest was much loved by the parishioners, who are unable to find explanations for what happened,” noted an archdiocesan statement. “The Archdiocese of Maceió is united in prayer for the solution of this case, awaiting the completion of investigations.”
