Father Salvatore Rodino has become the 23rd priest removed by the Diocese of Albany for the alleged sexual abuse of a minor. In a letter read at Father Rodino’s present and former parishes, Bishop Howard Hubbard of the upstate New York diocese said that an investigation found “reasonable grounds” for believing that an alleged incident of abuse took place 27 years ago. The priest denies the allegation; “I don’t believe a word of it,” said one man, echoing the sentiments of many fellow parishioners.
