Anglican reactions, I: how many?

As Anglicans weigh the prospects of union with Rome, observers try to estimate how many people who will answer the Pope's invitation. Traditionalist Anglican priests will meet in London this weekend to discuss their response.

    I've been listening to the podcasts of the meeting in London, and am amazed at their luke-warm statements about this. To a man, they claim to have been praying for reunion with Rome, but express their disappointment that this isn't the "corporate reunion" they had hoped for. A wise old cleric once told me, "For some folks, if they hear you're giving away gold bricks, they want to know what time you're going to deliver them."
