During his visit, Cardinal Fernando Filoni, prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, addressed bishops, preached at a Mass in Bangkok marking the anniversary, addressed Catholics from the northern hill tribes, and preached on the responsibility of all the faithful to bear witness to Christ.
