Italy: 73 abuse allegations against priests in last decade

The Associated Press has found that in the past decade, 73 Italian priests have been accused of abusing more than 235 minors. In the northern Italian city of Verona, 67 students at an institute for the deaf alleged that “abuse, pedophilia, and corporal punishment occurred at the school from the 1950s to the 1980s at the hands of priests and brothers of the Congregation for the Company of Mary.”
