Deacon allegedly stole $300,000 from parish

In separate letters to their congregations, pastors of two Cleveland parishes dismissed a deacon who had served as bookkeeper of both parishes. Following a diocesan audit, Father Michael Matusz accused Deacon Larry Cermak of stealing more than $300,000 from his parish.
