Orissa's Christians draw strength from faith, solidarity under adversity

Archbishop Raphael Cheenath of Cuttack-Bhubaneshwar, in a conversation with AsiaNews, reports that the faithful in Orissa have persevered, a year after a violent pogrom organized by Hindu extremists in the region. The extremists failed to drive Christianity out of Orissa, the archbishop said, and he “drew immense consolation from people, their faith and their determination to continue as Christians.”
