Sneering article identifies Bishop Cordileone as leading opponent of same-sex marriage

In a consistently sneering article, the East Bay Express-- an Oakland-based alternative weekly newspaper-- identifies Bishop Salvatore Cordileone as the principal force behind the passage of Proposition 8, in which the citizens of California defined marriage as the union of a man and a woman. Formerly the auxiliary bishop of San Diego, Bishop Cordileone was installed as Bishop of Oakland in May.
