Kmiec rejected as envoy to Holy See? July 07, 2009
Douglas Kmiec, the law professor and Obama supporter who was recently named US ambassador to Malta, had previously been proposed as an envoy to the Holy See, but the Vatican refused to accept him, according to an unconfirmed media report.
