German bishops hold conference on abuse of minors

Father Hans Zollner, president of the Center for Child Protection at Pontifical Gregorian University, said that “sexual abuse in the ecclesial realm should not lead to a self-styling as a victim institution” and challenged participants to focus on the human suffering of victims rather than on institutional security.
