Scientists confirm age of sack believed to be from St. Francis of Assisi

CWN Editor's Note: At a monastery in Italy, material has been preserved from a sack which, according to legend, was delivered miraculously seven centuries ago, containing bread as a gift from St. Francis of Assisi. Scientists have confirmed parts of the story: the sack dates from that time, and once did contain bread.
