Prominent Catholic politician flip-flops, endorses same-sex marriage

Senator Christopher Dodd, chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, has renounced his opposition to same-sex marriage.

The Catholic Democrat from Connecticut, an unwavering proponent of legalized abortion, said in a 2007 speech, “My faith informs me ... It guides my decisions and taught me to promote the common good …”
