CWN Editor's Note: In a front-page op-ed, Giuseppe Fiorentino (the paper’s vice-editor) argued that the Korean peninsula is the most heavily armed area in the world and that the armament industry has little interest in promoting peace in the region. Fiorentino also wrote that Kim Jong Un is able to persevere in his dangerous course because the US needs to work closely with China, a Pyongyang ally that is slow to take action and “controls a good slice of Washington’s public debt.”
