Prominent young Brazilian priest murdered
June 22, 2009
Father Gisley Azevedo Gomes, national youth ministry coordinator for the the Brazilian episcopal conference, was murdered on June 15 in Brasilia. The 31-year-old priest was slain in what is believed to have been a robbery or short-term kidnapping.
