November 17, 2016

Pope Francis received Luis Almagro, the secretary general of the Organization of American States, in a November 17 audience.

The Holy See Press Office did not release details about the topics discussed by the Pontiff and the head of the 35-nation regional organization.

The previous day, Almagro met with Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican’s Secretary of State. Almagro tweeted that the two discussed “central themes of the political agenda in the Americas.”
