On May 18, Washington Gov. Chris Gregoire-- a Catholic-- signed legislation granting same-sex couples most of the rights of married spouses and spoke at a gala luncheon honoring NARAL Pro-Choice Washington’s retiring director. A Seattle priest led 40 pro-life demonstrators in praying the Rosary outside the luncheon.
