Pope visits Rome residential center for troubled children

October 14, 2016

Pope Francis visited a Roman center for troubled children on October 14, as part of his series of gestures for the Year of Mercy.

The Pope made a surprise appearance at the SOS Village, a residential facility that houses young children with personal or family difficulties. He made a tour of the center, spoke with some of the children, and shared their snack before heading back to the Vatican.
