Papal message for Communion and Liberation gathering

August 19, 2016

Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican’s Secretary of State, has written a message in Pope Francis’s name on the occasion of Communion and Liberation’s annual gathering in Rimini, Italy.

In welcoming the meeting’s theme (“you are a good for me”), Cardinal Parolin praised dialogue and encounter with others in the face of a culture of individualism.

Quoting remarks made by Pope Francis in May, Cardinal Parolin called for “the proclamation of the Gospel, which today more than ever finds expression in going forth to bind the wounds of humanity with the powerful yet simple presence of Jesus, and his mercy that consoles and encourages.”
