Asian Catholic doctors agree: condoms not the answer to AIDS

Strongly backing the public stand taken by Pope Benedict XVI, an Asian alliance of Catholic health-care professionals has staked out its opposition to the aggressive promotion of condoms as a response to the AIDS epidemic. Condoms are not as efficient as education, the doctors argued; their leader suggested that condom campaigns are "highly dangerous."
