June 09, 2016
Thousands of Catholic and Orthodox children gathered recently in five Syrian cities to pray for peace.
In Homs, where forces of the Assad regime recently resumed control, 700 children took part in a procession, stopping at various churches to pray. Catholic and Orthodox bishops gathered to lead prayers at the Melkite Greek Catholic cathedral, which had suffered significant damage during the civil war.
