Nuncio, Israeli government denounce media reports on Holy Land sites

Charging that Israeli media have created a “big mess, a confusion of things,” Archbishop Antonio Franco, papal nuncio in Israel, joined an Israeli presidential spokeswoman in denouncing reports that President Shimon Peres was encouraging the tourism ministry to cede control of certain Holy Land sites to the Church.
