Miami archdiocese investigating pastor after accusations of intimate relationships with staff

May 26, 2016

The Archdiocese of Miami has opened an investigation into charges that a pastor had intimate relationships with workers he had hired for the parish school.

Father Pedro Corces has stepped down as pastor of St. Rose of Lima church, after a group of parishioners presented a detailed report, compiled by a private investigator, alleging that the pastor had relationships with four staff members at the school.

Father Corces served from 1996 to 2006 as director of vocations for the Miami archdiocese, responsible for recruiting candidates for the priesthood.
