Record number of pilgrimages to Fátima in 2015

The Sanctuary of Fátima in Portugal hosted a record number of pilgrimages in 2015.

587,128 people in 4,390 registered groups from 90 nations made pilgrimages to the shrine last year, according to a recent press statement from the shrine. 461,300 of these pilgrims came from Portugal.

The registered pilgrims are a fraction of the 6.7 million people who took part in Masses and other events at Fátima in 2015.
