Vatican moving to eliminate purchases from companies with ties to forced labor

January 19, 2016

The Vatican has made a commitment to stop purchasing from corporations that have any involvement in forced labor, the prefect of the Secretariat for the Economy has announced.

Several major corporations-- including Nestle and Barilla-- had earlier told the same audience that they were working to eliminate forced labor from their own supply chains.
