German bishop raps flyer issued by episcopal conference on gender theory

A German bishop has taken issue with a flyer on gender theory produced by the nation’s episcopal conference, saying that it “opens the gate to positions irreconcilable with the Christian faith.
Bishop Rudolf Voderholzer of Regensburg said that the gender theory denies the fundamental goodness of Creation, and cannot be reconciled with Catholic teachings. The flyer, he said, “not only fails to present the position; it leaves it out completely.”
Bishop Voderholzer complained that although the flyer was made public in the name of the German bishops’ conference, he had not seen it—let alone approved it—before its publication.
