UN may send more troops to Central African Republic ahead of papal visit

The United Nations may soon send 300 additional peacekeepers to the Central African Republic, which Pope Francis is scheduled to visit on November 29 and 30.
The nation has experienced a recent surge in violence, with at least 22 people killed last week, according to a Reuters report.
