The city council of Rome is expected to give final approval on August 26 to plans for a series of urban projects designed to prepare for the Jubilee Year that begins December 8.
“We have a series of projects that are definitely ready to go,” said Alfonso Sabella, a member of the council. He said that, with proper approvals, round-the-clock construction could begin in September as the city rushes to complete renovations by December.
