Report: only 59% of Chileans identify themselves as Catholic

The percentage of Chileans who identify themselves as Catholic fell from 70% in 2006 to 59% in 2014, according a Chilean radio news report, which cited census data and national surveys.
According to the report, 18% of Chileans identify themselves as evangelicals-- up from 16% in 2006-- while 22% say they have no religion or are atheists, up from 12% in 2006.
