A Catholic nun in India was barred from taking a medical school entrance test when she refused to remove her veil and cross.
Sister Remya George was asked to remove portions of her habit as candidates were frisked upon entering the test area. The test policy also required Muslim women to remove headscarves. Sister George declined, and left without taking the test.
The principal of the school where the test was administered claimed that he only asked the nun to remove her veil during the security check.
