Italian bishops promote pilgrimages to Holy Land to aid Christian community
July 24, 2015
Citing the link between pilgrimages to the Holy Land and the economic prospects of the region's Christians, various Italian bishops are urging the faithful to overcome their fear of violence and visit sites associated with the life of Christ, according to an online magazine published by the Custody of the Holy Land.
"We must insist on the importance of pilgrimages; in particular, we bishops must give an example," said Bishop Rodolfo Cetoloni of Grosseto.
