Vatican newspaper publishes book excerpt by Father Sobrino, subject of CDF statement

L’Osservatore Romano has published an excerpt of a new book by Father Jon Sobrino, a theologian whose doctrinal errors were discussed in a 2007 notification by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.

In the excerpt, Father Sobrino, a Jesuit liberation theologian, recounted his memories of the death and funeral of Archbishop Óscar Romero, who was martyred in 1980 and will be beatified on May 23.
