Dates, itinerary announced for papal trip to Cuba

The Cuban episcopal conference has announced the dates of Pope Francis’s upcoming apostolic journey to the island nation.

The Pope will arrive in Havana, the nation’s capital and largest city, on September 19 and proceed to Holguín, Cuba’s 4th-largest city. He will then travel to the National Shrine Basilica of Our Lady of Charity of El Cobre and to Santiago de Cuba, the nation’s 2nd-largest city, before departing for the United States on September 22.
