Pope meets with Harlem Globetrotters

Pope Francis met briefly with members of the Harlem Globetrotters basketball team in St. Peter’s Square on May 6.

The team named the Pope an honorary Globetrotter and gave him a jersey.

St. John Paul II was named an honorary member of the team in 2000, according to a Vatican Radio report.
