The US bishops' conference has released an extended, and very useful, fact-sheet explaining the Church's constant teaching on abortion, as a rebuttal to the statements by Nancy Pelosi.
Meanwhile, editorial commentary continues. From Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley comes a secular newspaper editorial that cites the Catechism and the Didache. From the Washington Post comes a particularly muddled op-ed.
Individual bishops, too, continue to issue public statements, with another example from Bishop Robert Vasa of Baker, Oregon, explaining how the views of St. Augustine differ from the understanding of today.
