Italian polls shows opinion swing against same-sex marriage
February 02, 2015
The Italian public supports registration of civil unions for same-sex couples, but opposes legal recognition of same-sex marriage, a new survey shows.
The Eurispes poll found 64% of respondents in favor of civil unions. But 59% opposed same-sex marriage. That figure was up from 51% last year. A much larger majority, 72%, opposed allowing same-sex partners to adopt children.
