Vatican, French bishops decry terror attack in Paris
January 07, 2015
Both the Vatican and the French bishops’ conference have issued statements condemning a terrorist attack on a Parisian publication.
The attack by Islamic terrorists on the office of Charlie Hebdo, a satirical magazine, left at least 12 people dead.
“Nothing can justify such violence,” the French bishops said in a quick response. A Vatican statement agreed that the assault was “abominable because it is both an attack against people as well as against freedom of the press.”
