1st Catholic radio station in Pakistan

December 03, 2014

The Archdiocese of Karachi has launched the first Catholic radio station in Pakistan, where Christians face discrimination and persecution.

“One can use mass media to evangelize,” said Father Arthur Charles, the secretary of the Commission for Social Communications of the nation’s episcopal conference. “If we cannot go to difficult or remote areas to preach the message of Jesus, we bring the Gospel everywhere with the radio and other mass media.”

The station “will explain the Church's teaching, comment [on] social issues, global events, current events, but will also propose theology and apologetics,” according to a Fides report.
