Theme announced for 2015 Synod of Bishops

The Holy See Press Office has announced the theme of next year’s Synod of Bishops.
It has been known for some time that next year’s synod will discuss the family, but the exact theme has now been formally announced. The 14th Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops, which will take place from October 4-25, 2015, will be devoted to “the vocation and the mission of the family in the Church and in the contemporary world.”
